On the 23rd of May, Human Aid Initiative managed to deliver your Amanah to the poor and needy. This reached straight to the door stops just a day before Eid. Our dedicated field volunteers carried out the distribution, starting from the morning and finishing at dawn maghrib time. The distributions were at three remote villages, namely Kelurahan Tompobulu, Bilalang, Magempang, Tanabangka and Tambolo in Gowa district, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
In the midst of difficulties during the Coronavirus pandemic, the need for basic food necessities is inevitably huge. Your generous Zakat, Sadaqah and Fidyah donations were distributed in the form of food aid packs to 100 of the poorest and needy families; almost forgotten due to their remote and difficult to reach locations.
These food aid packs contained 10 kg rice, 2 kg sugar, 2 litres cooking oil, 10 packs of noodles and 1 large bottle of soy sauce.
We worked in collaboration with various Indonesian organisations in the UK to deliver this initiative. We are very grateful for the support received from all our partners during our campaign; The Last Ten Nights – Ramadan 2020.
