Zakat Ul-Fitr
The month of Ramadan is the best time to purify your wealth. Human Aid Initiative can help you to distribute your Zakat-ul-Fitr to the needy (mustahik).
What is Zakat-ul-Fitr?
The distribution of Zakat ul-Fitr is the same as that of Zakat. This is donations to be given to the poor a few days before the end of fasting in Ramadan. The Arabic word Fitr means the same as ‘Iftar‘, breaking a fast, and it comes from the same root word as Futoor which means breakfast. Zakat al Fitr is a smaller amount than Zakat al-Mal.
How much is Zakat-ul-Fitr?
The amount depends on where you live, please see below for how much it would be in your city.
London: £7 per person
Nottingham/Leeds/Newcastle/Birmingham: £5 per person
